In this crucial moment, Third Act elders are stepping up. We’re organizing locally, building power to push back against harmful policies, and keeping pressure on lawmakers to take bold action on climate and democracy. Last year, we successfully pressured the U.S. Department of Energy to pause new permits for Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) export facilities, preventing over 675 coal-fired power plants’ worth of emissions. But our work is far from over.
We’re also investing in the future of this movement by training and empowering volunteer leaders across the country. Through organizing training and leadership development, we’re building the capacity to sustain and grow our efforts, ensuring we have the people and resources to make lasting change.
