Another Caravan to Canada!

A group of around 25 – 50 Vermonters will drive together to Montreal and meet at the Jean-Talon for an event called “At Par”.  We’ll park the cars and meet up with a group of Canadian journalists and entertainers for music and speeches.  Then we’ll shop at the Atwater market  – spending US dollars at par – and have lunch at one of the local restaurants.  The idea of the event is simple – shop, eat and enjoy Montreal’s wonderful ambience and food, but instead of paying with a credit card (which automatically gives us the exchange on Canadian money) or with Canadian dollars, pay for our purchases with US dollars at par. (right now, every American dollar is worth about $1.40 Canadian).
