Some in Congress aim to repeal clean energy investments—which would send more tax cuts to polluters—but we can stop them together.

The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) is driving rapid growth in solar energy, providing cost savings to disadvantaged communities, and creating 330,000 jobs in three years. IRA tax credits and rebates are making clean, efficient energy upgrades affordable for our homes and businesses.
But Donald Trump and MAGA allies in Congress aim to roll back these community investments in order to bankroll more tax cuts for polluters and billionaires—and we need your help to stop them.
We are enduring a heart-rending moment of vicious backlash against federal climate progress. But we can stop them from stealing these hard-earned benefits. Over 25 House and Senate Republicans (plus all Democrats) are on record calling for the preservation of clean energy tax credits in the budget reconciliation negotiations that resume soon. Most IRA investments went to red and purple districts—so as Trump’s dangerous tariffs and chaotic policies hit household pocketbooks, your elected leaders are regarding their constituents’ anger and worry with increased attention.
We need to ensure a budget vote to protect clean energy investments and tax credits, from every member of Congress who has recognized these benefits. Learn how you can help by taking the two simple steps below.

Tip: Personalize your Message!
If you benefited from a clean energy credit when filing taxes this month, explain how it is lowering your household’s energy costs. If you or your loved ones work in the growing clean energy sector, say so. Or, share how these investments will make solar, heat pumps and other upgrades accessible for you and other constituents.
Keep your audience in mind: purple and red state lawmakers are moved more by a focus on energy affordability, better health, and creating new jobs with these investments, rather than leading with a climate appeal.
