Election Stories

Calling all Third Actors! We want to share your voting stories in this crucial election. Submit a photo and short blurb to show the power of the elder vote in action.

In a time when only 14% of U.S. adults trust national news for election information, your voices are more crucial than ever. Third Act wants to amplify your voting story this election season to inspire others with your perspective and commitment.

We’ll share these photos and stories on social media and the Third Act website to show the dedication of older voters in protecting our democracy and to inspire rising generations to vote for their future. Your experience and perspective as voters over 60 can be a powerful motivator—let’s show the strength of the elder vote!

Here’s how to join in:

  • Voting in person? Capture the experience outside your polling place or back home—don’t forget to show off your “I Voted” sticker! If you’re with a future voter, include them and their “I’m a Future Voter” sticker for a memorable photo.
  • Voting by mail? Get a snap of yourself dropping off your ballot in the mail, and tell us what it felt like to take part in this historic election. Your emotions and thoughts are key to inspiring others.
  • Helping others to vote? If you’re assisting neighbors or friends in getting to the polls, share how you’re helping others ensure their voices are heard.

  • Upload your photos and a short narrative in the form below! Here’s an example by our very own Third Act campaign strategist, Deborah Moore:
