Summer of Heat for Wall St. West hit the Bay Area on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, when Third Act San Francisco Bay Area gathered with 1000 Grandmothers and others at San Francisco’s Embarcadero to peacefully yet loudly speak out for the future of youth and all living beings.
Hundreds joined the march to two Citibank locations, rockin’ it in hand-carried rocking chairs, to tell Citi to stop funding climate-changing fossil fuels and their expansion. Postcards to Costco piled up, and signatures added to a petition to tell Costco to drop Citibank as its credit card issuer if it won’t clean up its act.

Artist David Solnit was on hand to draw the mural, activists jumped in to paint. His work was also evident on clothing panels, banners and posters. Chants and songs filled the air, accompanied by five amazing Golden Bell Music musicians. Aside from the fun, the message to Citibank never wavered: Stop profiteering from our children’s future.
