There are many ways to get involved with Third Act as a volunteer! If you’re not already a part of a Third Act Working Group, we first invite you to find and join a Working Group in your area or based on your interests.

The contributions of national volunteers are also essential to the growth and impact of our movement. We invite you to become a national volunteer, offering your gifts and talents to Third Act in ways you might not have previously considered!

We are seeking volunteers with various skills (facilitation, coaching, mentoring, digital support) to support the lean staff and Third Actors across the country. Time commitment will vary based on projects. You will be expected to attend monthly community meetings and we request at least a six-month commitment.

There are so many roles, often unrecognized, that are essential to the continued growth and vitality of this movement (and this organization). Maybe you want to lean into a skill you already have or maybe you’d like to try something new. We hope you will decide to volunteer to both utilize your abilities and also bring you joy and fulfillment. Your contributions will be appreciated!

Please consider signing up if you meet any of the following criteria:

• You have experience coaching/mentoring (especially in online spaces)
• You’ve worked in social media spaces and/or with digital platforms
• You have an interest in renewable energies or fossil fuel divestment
• You’re a lifelong learner
• You are passionate about supporting a burgeoning movement of elders who are determined to make a difference

As a national volunteer, you will join a community of volunteers supporting distributed work and staff teams.  We ask volunteers to make at least a six-month commitment and attend monthly meetings.
