Protecting our Planet | Resources

Here are some groups doing the hard work to protect our planet. We encourage you to reach out and do what you can to help.

Here you go. Take a look. Follow them on social media. See what you can do to help. Send them money. Remember that these groups rely on contributions for their good work. Send us stories of your involvement.

Columbia Law School Sabin Center for Climate Change. Developing legal techniques to address climate change and training the next generation of lawyers who will lead the field.

Earth Law Center. Advancing ecocentric laws, policies, and governance for the well-being of the Earth community. See here for our April 8 webinar interviewing Grant Wilson, Earth Law’s Executive Director. Use passcode &X1zyY5J to sign in.

Our Children’s Trust. Key players in the nothing short of spectacular victory for youth in Held v. Montana, Our Children’s Trust is a non-profit public interest law firm that provides strategic, campaign-based legal services to youth from diverse backgrounds to secure their legal rights to a safe climate.

350.org. Co-founded by our very own Bill McKibben, 350 has become a global organization of ordinary people working to build a world powered by clean, accessible and affordable renewable energy.

National Resources Defense Council. NRDC works to safeguard the earth — its people, its planets and animals, and the natural systems on which all life depends.

Earthjustice. Wielding the power of law and the strength of partnership to protect people’s health, to preserve magnificent places and wildlife, to advance clean energy, and to combat climate change. Because the earth needs a good lawyer.
