On this All-in Call we explore how to best use our collective abilities and life experiences to plan where do we go from here – especially in recognition of the limitations for climate action at the federal level but also the opportunities we have in New York to bring about meaningful changes at the state and local levels.
As elders, stories are our superpower. On this All-in Call we present the new Educating for Action series though which someone can learn about specific climate legislation or clean energy programs… and, if so inspired, go on to learn how to effectively use our personal stories to lobby state legislators and local elected officials… or, if talking to politicians is not their thing, to facilitate discussions within civics groups or among friends and neighbors.
Through these learning series we can learn how to link knowledge and fluency on legislation and clean energy transition to personal and family stories that hit home with both policy makers and people in our communities… this amplifies our voices and builds the climate movement.
We know that everyone has a role. That is what a movement means, and that is how a movement works. Find your place, engage, and make new friends along the way.
