Along with Hands Øff, plenty of ways to make your voice heard

Whether or not you can make it to the latest Hands Øff protest, there are plenty of other things you can do:

  • Make a sign and put it in your window
  • Make a sign, take a selfie with it, and post on social media:
    • You can tag @ThirdActOrg
    • Use these hashtags:
      • #Hands Øff with an issue or city
      • Example: #HandsOffSocialSecurity or #HandsOffPhilly
      • Or just #HandsOff
  • Make a video about why you care and post on social media
  • Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper
    • Our tool makes it easy to submit letters to the editor of several local newspapers all at once. Make sure you edit the letter in the box before hitting “submit.” Since it is editable, you can write and submit a letter on any topic of your concern: Social Security, federal employees, healthcare cuts, national parks — whatever you are most concerned about.
    • The tool does not work for major newspapers like the NY Times, Washington Post, Boston Globe, LA Times. So you can also just go directly to those newspapers’ websites and write and submit a letter to the editor directly on their websites.
    • The more people who submit letters, the more likely it is that a newspaper will publish at least one on the topic.
